Converted into an icon of the struggle for truth and liberty and international ambassador of poetry worldwide, the artist’s concert is a proposal of love and dignity, creating a space in which to defend humanism against the brutality of the 21st century. Dressed in black, with his guitar and surrounded by excellent musicians on a beautiful, sober stage, Paco Ibañez will sing songs of love, pure existentialism, struggle and resistance wrapped in the rhythms of the instruments and the force of poetry that evoke harshness and sadness, but also dreams, love and hope.
Global ambassador of poetry, his protest songs are still very present 50 years after his famous concert at the Olympia in Paris. The singer, composer and musician Paco Ibáñez (Valencia, 1934) continues to be a beacon to guide us in these times of planetary disgrace. He has set to music the work of the principal classic and contemporary poets of Spain and America. His living work is reason and poetry at a time of madness and oblivion of the beauty of words. This special concert will transport spectators to a space of love and liberty, a space of resistance to injustice, violence and terror.
