ConCiencia femenina is a show about female scientists who changed the world. With lots of fun and musical sections, we focus a little more on Marie Curie, Hedy Lamarr, Valentina Tereshkova, Hypatia of Alexandria…–, on their indelible contribution and their work, not always an easy task.
With this show, Escenario Pedagógico wants to raise awareness about the importance of women in science, to show the different disciplines they have engaged in and their contribution to development and progress. They also want to highlight the importance of co-education, gender equality, environmental awareness and of ethics and good practices in science and technology.
Escenario Pedagógico is one of the most renown companies of children’s theatre and didactic concerts in Spain. It was founded in 2012 in Almeria with the creation of the big hit El rock se cuela en la escuela [Rock sneaks into school], winner of the prize for Entrepreneurial Proposal given by the IAJ (Andalusian Youth Institute). It currently has 8 original shows with which it seeks to find the perfect balance between learning and entertainment.
