LUCÍA LACARRA WON THE 2022 MAX AWARD IN THE CATEGORY OF BEST FEMALE DANCE PERFORMER FOR IN THE STILL OF THE NIGHT

A nocturnal journey during which present and past intertwine to tell us a story in which the emotional hiding places of two persons light up from a wide variety of perspectives. As we get a glimpse of what happened one night in the past, we discover what caused the present reality. Pure dance and cinematographic reflection lead us into this beautiful story accompanied by music, costumes and the aesthetics of the 60's, which reminds us of big-screen classics such as Grease or Ghost.
Lucía Lacarra (Zumaia, Gipuzkoa, 1975) began her professional career at the age of 15 in the Ballet of Víctor Ullate. She has been the principal dancer in major companies such as the Ballet National de Marseille, San Francisco Ballet, Munich Opera and Dortmund Ballet. She is the winner of numerous prizes such as the Nijinsky, Benois de la Danse, Dance Open and the 2015 Spanish National Dance Award .She was named Dancer of the Decade at the Kremluim in Moscow and Chamber Dancer of the State of Bavaria.
Matthew Golding (Canadá, 1985) graduated from the Royal Ballet school. Winner of the Youth American Grand Prix and the Prix de Lausanne. Principal Dancer in major companies such as Het National Ballet and Royal Ballet of London. Guest star at the Mariinsky, Munich Opera, English National Ballet, Tokyo Ballet and Oslo Opera House. He has performed the main roles in Cinderella, by C. Wheeldon, Don Quixote, by A. Ratmansky and Swan Lake, by A. Dowell.
