Following publication of Incerteza (2020), his last album with a quartet, the Malaga saxophone player Enrique Oliver created a band, this time as a sextet comprising top of the range figures with whom he will present new unpublished material. This configuration of musicians has been widely used in the world of jazz, including iconic models such as The Jazz Messengers, Wayne Shorter’s sextets in the 1960’s or the legendary group with which Miles Davis recorded Kind of blue. However, Oliver brings the singularity of flute instead of the usual saxophone or trombone.
In the concert, free jazz, calypso, samba, hard bop of the 60s…will converge with the balanced proportions of emotion and technique, and the flawless and overwhelming style of this perfect equation of artists. For those who enjoy extraordinary musical and vital experiences.
