"What does it mean to be a man?
Molina and Valentin are cellmates in prison. Molina is a woman in a man’s body, who is in prison for having seduced a minor. Valentin is a political activist who was tortured during police interrogations, and wants to change the world. To escape from reality, Molina evokes old films through which, in a process of identification with the characters, she reflects on her own life and her political and sexual identity. An inner combat with many open wounds and a panther who does not stop roaring.
A forbidden story that brings to light human beings’ need to love. In the course of their imprisonment, Valentin and Molina are fellow travellers on an existential journey, a journey of liberation. This is a quasi-thriller that has the feel of a bolero. While death and torture reign outside their isolation, they dream of a world that continues to wait for a revolution. Political liberation passes through the liberation of bodies “When it gets dark, you always need someone" (F. Scott Fitzgerald).” J. Mora
