Rusalka and Katiuska, two Scandinavian mermaids, are fed up of singing all day long on a rock. They decide to braid their hair and travel to the Mediterranean. Along the Spanish coast they meet the mermaid Karolina. Together they go off on an adventure to Hispania, following the footsteps of a very handsome captain. After all, curiosity is the best motor to discover life. But…will they achieve their objective?
A very special version of Anderson’s story The Mermaid, and the marvelous music of Rusalka, A.Dvorak’s opera about mermaids.
The company MikrÓPERA explores the stage with original, medium and small format proposals of text and opera. Since 2008 it has produced nine shows for all ages. An amusing and intimate experience of lyrical voices to discover and enjoy opera with the whole family.
