“There is not a single woman here who has not dreamed at least once of being like me.” A woman begins the story of her life with this sentence. On reaching the critical moment of her husband’s assassination, she does not seek to defend her innocence. Her presence on stage is to defend the dignity and freedom of millions of women subjected to the insensitivity and cruelty of coward men without scruples. Now her words to the audience demand that her right to justice be upheld.
