The prima donna of European song Ute Lemper is visiting us again, this time with Songs from the broken heart, a selection of songs with lyrics by Charles Bukowski and Paulo Coelho, together with others by Pablo Neruda, Léo Ferré, Jacques Brel, Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Philip Glass and Kurt Weill; all stories on the confines of life. And of course, as usual she will take us through the dark alleyways of Berlin, Paris and Nueva York guided by Weill and Brel, and will offer references to jazz.

After many different repertoires over the years, this one reaches the limits of Ute’s heart and soul.  With very simple and pure arrangements, the German singer sings and tells stories of life, delight, love, doubt, loss….testimony of her long nights of insomnia.
