The eight editions of Malaga’s Tango Festival have placed the city on the international map of tango; Malaga has had the privilege of hosting performances of the major figures of the genre, such as Susan Rinaldi’s at the First Edition of the Festival.
Tango Malaga shows the different aspects of the principal instrumental, song and dance manifestations of this fascinating form of artistic expression; the Festival’s programme conceives tango as a contemporary urban genre and its shows are performed with the maximum cultural precision possible. In this sense, tango is construed as part of the culture of the cities of our time.
[Tribute to Carlos Gardel]
Osvaldo Jiménez has devoted his entire life to the study and performance of the work of Carlos Gardel, one of the maximum representatives of tango and author of famous universally known tangos. On this occasion he joins Proyecto Tamgú in a show in which some of those classic pieces are revisited with original arrangements created especially for the occasion. The performance completed with the participation of the dancers Eber Burger and Sabrina Nogueira, a couple of great renown and prestige in the world of tango dancing.
