Lazaro’s life is the story used to present the Spanish Golden Age, during which our main character grows up. Born near the banks of the Tormes River, Lazaro is a rascal taken from one master to the next by destiny, suffering misfortunes until he finally gets married. This adaptation of the classic novel preserves the essence and social criticism of the original, revealing in a clear, transparent manner, together with humour and irony, the society of that time.
