'Ikigai' is a Japanese concept for raison d’être and is considered a formula to give meaning to life.
This proposal focuses on personal development, on how to deal with particular situations and on the relationships that exist between the members of a group. It is based on acceptance and the search for happiness with the support of one’s surroundings. The ikigai philosophy rests on four main pillars: the things you love, the things at which you are good, what you are paid for and what the world needs. The RaulDuran Dance Company works on these concepts applied to current contemporary movement.
RaulDuran Cía. de Danza was founded in Malaga in 2018 and its first production Cuerpo-Escombro was premiered at the Echegaray Theatre as part of the Malaga Promising Dancers  programme [Nuevos Valores de la Danza en Málaga]. At present it is on tour with La ceremonia de la despedida, in collaboration with SilencioDanza, Reminiscencia, Recuerdos olvidados and Poder y perdón.
