Archive, Documentation and Research Service
Teatro Cervantes

The Teatro Cervantes' SADI (named for its initials in Spanish: Servicio de Archivo, Documentación e Investigación – or the Archive, Documentation and Research Service) is a resource centre for learning and study which makes available to users, whether specialised or not, bibliographic and documentary material related to the activity of theatre and the performing arts sector in general. The material available for consultation is arranged in two different collections. The graphic archive includes the documents generated by the Cervantes and Echegaray theatres since their opening in 1987 and 2009, respectively. There are many different kinds of documents, including programmes for shows and seasons, press dossiers, posters, photographs, press releases and audiovisual documents. There is also a bibliographic archive geared at the study of performing arts, which includes research monographs and reference works as well as specialised material, and whose goal is to meet the demands for information from the professional and academic sectors of the province.

Users can consult the materials in both collections at the Centro de Cultura Activa Pedro Aparicio (Pedro Aparicio Active Cultural Centre) via catalogues created for this purpose. The digital documents can be viewed on the consultation terminal itself, and the ones available in analogue format can be requested from the staff managing the service.
