The Teatro Miguel de Cervantes stands out among public spaces for the density and diverse nature of the activities that take place inside its doors. Meeting the demands and interests of the citizens of Malaga , whatever their age, social status, education, cultural baggage or any other type of features or particularities is our one and only goal; that is, it's the premise we start from when we design our program of events.

We work to respond effectively to the application of a global cultural model based on pluralism, rigor and quality. In this sense, we do not eschew any specific genres, trends or scenic currents that are constantly being born, developing, multiplying and transforming the international artistic scene.

There is room for everything and everyone on our stage, because what happens on stage is nothing more than a complex (but faithful) image of the way social tastes evolve, and also because we seek to prevent old classics from deteriorating and being forgotten by favouring their permanent relevance. The spectacles programmed at Teatro Cervantes are divided up according to the classical and common order of theatrical genres: opera, music, theatre and dance, all of which are divided up into a multitude of varieties which many times come together and mix different combinations to obtain results which are difficult to describe with the labels of standard categories.

Such are the cultural offerings nowadays: inexhaustible, hybrid, and to some extent anarchical. This is reality and our aim is none other than to offer a true reflection of the same.
