A project of the popular Malaga band Free Soul Band and Laura Insausti. Live music, 20 artists on stage who sing, dance and act to the rhythm of soul and funk and a deranged plot with many references to famous musicals and old time movies… make Do you love me? Un romance con mucho soul a tribute to this historical musical, cultural and social movement of the mid 20th century.
Queenie and Jay, the main characters inspired by two of the main figures of soul -James Brown and Aretha Franklin-, unveil the ins and outs of their secret romance through the most representative songs of the genre. All of it peppered with jealousy, rumours, misunderstandings, in a farcical comedy where pure love ends up prevailing over fame, glamour and the yellow press that surrounds them. A current and timeless theme.
Free Soul Band, founded in 1999 as an alternative to the funk-rock group Duty Free, is considered to be the best “soul” band in the Costa del Sol and its musicians have formed part of many of the best Andalusian bands.
