Mérida, Badajoz, 1969. Prize of Honor from the Superior Music Conservatory in Madrid. She has also been awarded in the Francisco Viñas International Vocal Contest 1996, has won the Mozart Prize and 2nd Lied-Oratory Prize in the Alfredo Kraus Contest 1996 and was finalist in ¨Das Schumbert-Lied¨(Vienna, 1997). She has done tours as a soloist representing the Transylvanian National Orchestra and the 18th Century Orchestra under the direction of F. Brüggen. She has a wide repertoire including oratory, lied and opera, which she has sung under the direction of masters such as A. Ros Marbà, A. Zedda and J. Pons, in the Concertgebow’s prestigious halls in Amsterdam, Santa Cecilia in Rome, in addition to principal national stages.
RALF LUKAS baritone
Born in Beirut, Lebanon. He studied in the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. He was the first and Grand Prize winner in the International Vocal Contest of Hertogenbosch 1991, among many others. After studying in the Bayerische Staatsoper, in 1987, G. Friedrich made him a permanent member of the Deutsche Oper in Berlin. He has been assiduously invited by the world’s most important theaters and operas, where he has sung under the direction of C. Abbado, R. Chailly, Sir Colin Davis, L. Maazel and G. Sinopoli. He is also a prestigious concert singer with a wide repertoire. His upcoming projects include new productions of Tahnhäuser and Tristan und Isolde in the Opera of the Bastille in Paris.
CHOIR OF BILBAO
The Choral Society of Bilbao-Bilboko Koral Elkartea was founded in 1886 for the development of music in general and choral music in particular. Throughout these years, it has accumulated success, prizes and great prestige. They have performed accompanied by many of the most important orchestras, directors and soloists in the world. In 1986, it received the Gold Medal of Fine Arts from the Ministry of Culture. It has a wide discography. Iñaki Moreno is the current director.
