Turin, 1965. He began to play the violoncello at six years. Since he was twenty-two and now for eleven years, he has been the main violoncellist for the Alla Scala Theater Orchestra. Since he received his first prize in the Rostropovich Competition in Paris in 1997, his activity as a soloist has extended over the world’s most important stages, along with the most prestigious orchestras. He has been recognized with numerous distinctions: the Abbiati Prize as the best soloist of the 98-99 season, the De Sica Prize as the best musician of 2005 conceded by the Italian Republic, and various composers have composed works dedicated to him. He has been the permanent guest in Budapest’s Summer Festival, Musical Weeks in Stresa (Italy) and the Festival of White Nights in Saint Petersburg. He is the musical director of the Sanremo Symphonic Orchestra.

Saint Petersburg, 1977. She began to play the violin at seven and the viola at thirteen. She was a founding member of the Quinteto Virtuosi, sponsored by the Russian Ministry of Culture and the Saint Petersburg City Hall. In 1996, she enrolled in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with a scholarship, and formed part of the British capital’s Symphonic staff. She has been directed by Sir Colin Davis, P. Boulez, R. Chailly, M. Rostropovich and C. Abbado, among others. In 2000, she graduated with honors from the Guildhall School and obtained a position as viola soloist in the Philharmonic Orchestra of Malaga.
