HELENA JUNTUNEN soprano
One of the best Finnish singers currently on the scene and winner of first prize in the Timo Mustakillio singing contest (00), the Tampere Opera Grand Prix (01) and Lappeenranta (02). She sings a repertoire including Gilda (Rigoletto), Adina (L’Elisir d’amore), Mimi and Musetta (La bohème), Margarita (Faust), Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier) and Liú (Turandot), among others, on the most prestigious stages of the world. In the 2002-03 season, she debuted in the Carlo Felice of Geneva Theater, in the Dresden Opera and in New York’s Carnegie Hall. She opened the 2006-07 season in Vienna as Pamina in Die Zauberflöte.   For the Ondine label, she has interpreted Hilda (Aleksis Kivi) and Irene (The house of sun) by Rautavaara, as well as a solo CD with Finnish songs by Leevi Madetoja.

MARCO GUIDARINI director
Born in Genoa, he carried out his studies in Orchestra Conducting with F. Ferrara, and Composition and Violoncello with A. Navarra. He began his career in Italy. Permanent director of the Philharmonic Orchestra in Nice, he divides his time between large symphonic groups and lyrical stages such as Vienna, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Munich, Vancouver, Sydney, Montpellier, Los Angeles, Genoa, Naples, Leipzig, Bologna, etc. He debuted in New York’s Metropolitan in the 2001-02 season with a new production of Rigoletto.   He has directed the National French, Dublin Radio, RAI, Quebec, Stockholm, Sofia, and Comunale of Bologna orchestras, among many others. In 2006, he was named Cavaliere of Italian Culture.  He has recorded Berlioz’s Romeo and Juliette, Roma by Massenet ,and Schumann’s 4th Symphony for the Dynamic label.
