The composer and singer from Malaga Sergio Gómez presents On my mind, a show (and debut album) that combines neo-soul, funk and r&b, with acid jazz and hip-hop as well, based on the inspiration of artists such as Stevie Wonder, Snarky Puppy, José James, Moonchild and D'Angelo. With a very meticulous visual and musical proposal, full of energy and accompanied by excellent musicians, Sergio reveals the search for his own identity in an emotional journey towards self-esteem and self-knowledge, in which honesty, freshness and musicality will make you connect from the very first minute.
With a degree in Composition from the Superior Conservatory of Music of Malaga, Sergio Gómez is interested in different genres, including jazz. His passion for singing and modern music has led him to join groups such as Gospel It, with which he participated in MOSMA [Movie Score Malaga Festival] performing works by the composer of musicals Marc Shaiman, to sing with a big band at festivals such as Nájera Jazz and with the Brass Quintet of the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra.
He has been recognised with national and international awards, such as the 2023 European Emerging Bands Contest Award (Strasbourg, France) and the 2022 MálagaCrea Rock Award, and has participated in festivals such as MiaQué Fest and BRISA.
