Costume sketches and stage set drawings in the collection of VÍCTOR ANDRÉS CATENA

Saturdays, from 17.00 to 20.30 h.

The exhibit shows, on one hand, the work of some of the best Spanish costume designers and scenographers of the 20th century  –Nieva, Vitín Cortezo, Mampaso, Mingote, Gago and Carpe–  for theatrical productions directed by Catena or in which he was involved creatively , and on the other elements of the writer and director’s own collection, acquired in the course of his extensive and successful theatrical career from the 1960’s to the 1980’s.

Víctor Andrés Catena was a writer, translator, adapter and stage director. He also wrote some film scripts, such as the one for the film A Fistful of Dollars (whose original title was Ray el Magnífico ), which is included in the exhibit.
